I joined Sterlite family in January 1996 as Process Technician Trainee and currently working as Officer at Business Excellence Dept that supports continual improvement activities in the organization.  Sterlite provides opportunity to all youngsters to learn and bring out their potentials for making Sterlite as the Best in-class Manufacturer. The organizational challenges are cracked by effective team involvement with innovative ideas and senior management support.  At Sterlite, the performers are recognized, motivated, assigned with higher responsibilities even at their younger age.

In the span of 13 years, I had an opportunity to hone my skill and competency in working with various departments including Smelter production, Engineering Services, Sr VP’s Office and now with Business Excellence Dept.   I feel very happy and proud to be a part of this young and energetic team.

Sterlite has given me opportunity to unleash my potential and design my own career growth.  I joined this organization more than decade ago as a Graduate Trainee (B.Sc Graduate) and moved into various technical areas within the organization, providing enormous exposure as part of its job rotation policy.  Then, I was selected as Stars of business through Accelerated Career Tracking and Up gradation Programme (ACT UP), one of the unique policy of Sterlite to identify the high performer and leadership talent, which gave me career growth and platform to prove my skills in function of Human Resources.  Today I can proudly share with you that I am heading the HR function of Silvassa unit. 

It gives me great satisfaction and pride to be part of such as an organization which is value based and provides its employee with not only what they desire but also what they deserve.

A journey which I started on 2nd November, 1998 as Graduate Engineer Trainee at Silvassa is still on as Head – Operations of Silvassa unit.

I like working at Vedanta because ethics, teamwork, empowerment, safety and the environment always remain high on the management agenda. I have been blessed with being able to work with many wonderful people over the years. I have always had opportunities and challenges beyond the current role as Head – Operations Silvassa to prove myself and achieve greater heights. Vedanta offered me the opportunity to thrive in an ever changing work environment with constant challenges and opportunities to grow. Since starting as Graduate Engineer Trainee I have been amazed at the level of trust bestowed on me and all round support I got to succeed.

Vedanta has given me different roles right from GET, Shift Incharge, Project Head Refinery Tuticorin, International Exposure at KCM and currently as Head – Operations Silvassa and I feel that there is more to be explored.
